Double the number prefer to rent rather than buy
A recent study by lettings specialist, Endsleigh reveals that twice the number of Britons are renting property rather than buying their own property; but it’s nit just because they are unable to get a grip on the rungs of the property ladder. Renting rather than buying is popular with tenants as it offers them a certain flexibility and allows them to uproot easily.
Endsleigh’s results show that as many as 45% prefer to rent, with 23% preferring to own their own house. The current trend lies in the favour of unfurnished investment properties which allow them to add their own personal style.
The study also highlighted that 62% of renters do however plan to put down roots within the next five years.
