Large Number Of UK Landlords Would Consider Green Scheme
A recent survey by the NLA [National Landlords Association] reveals that many private UK landlords are interested enough to consider the ‘Green Deal Scheme’ to increase and improve the energy efficiency of their existing rental properties
The scheme could be available to property investment owners as soon as late next year, and under the scheme’s terms, loan finance would be offered to landlords to help them to make improvements to properties in their buy to let portfolios such as cavity wall and loft insulation, that in turn would mean lower bills.
NLA chairman, David Salusbury said “The Green Deal presents an excellent opportunity for landlords to improve the energy efficiency of their properties, helping tenants save on their bills and do their bit for the environment.”
