Much improvement Needed To Build A Better Tomorrow
According to the recent publication of data from the Office for National Statistics, the future for UK house builders is in need of much improvement. Media and communications manager for FMB [Federation of Master Builders] Jayne Runacres said that the overall future for the property industry ‘doesn’t look rosy’.
She went on to say “Major projects such as the Olympics are coming to an end with not a great deal coming forward to replace them and house building is currently predicted to be flat for the next three years and still far short of 2007 in 2015."
The data shows that orders for new construction dropped by 16.3% in the second quarter of last year compared to quarter one. New construction orders also fell by 23.2% compared with the same period two years ago
