Garden Chic Sways Sales
Many first time buyers are just thankful to have gotten their first firm footing on the property ladder to worry about weeding, hoeing and mowing, but recent statistics show that properties with a well established and cared for garden are amongst those to sell first and fastest.
‘A well cared for outside area is just one less thing that needs to be addressed when a first time buyer is considering a small handful of properties to buy’ said Tom Braffey of Braffey’s estates.
‘Most people can see past the existing wallpaper, paint and furnishings when they view a property, but we’ve found that the sellers with a keen ‘green thumb’ are always the first choice for an offer from a buyer.’
A garden with well established trees and low maintenance areas with decking and potted plants etc are always the most popular, as weeding and mowing seems to be a buyers nightmare.
